Microstar International( MSI) the Taiwan maker of Computer motherboards and peripherals is reportedly getting ready to launch an Android based laptop.  The machine will be offered to other distributors who may simply rebadge the unit.  Since it is rumored that HP has been looking at an Android based laptop, this may be an easy way for HP to go.   The unit is reported to be based on the ARM 530 processor.

U.K.-based ARM Holdings processors already power most smart phones such as the  IPhone, Gphone, Blackberry, as well as Japanese toilet seats that talk and squirt.  Now ARM is taking it's aim at Intel and the ATOM processor.   Senior executives at ARM are reported to be involved with the release of five to 10 ARM based laptops starting in July this year. The Android OS was developed for ARM based phone processors so the migration to an Android based laptop should be quite easy.  Since Windows has not been ported to ARM based processors, most ARM based laptops and netbooks will be running some version of Linux.  Android looks increasingly like it will be the leading netbook OS.
